Sai Hiroko's Environmental Art and Four Dimensional Art
What is ‘Environmental Art'? It is the art that acts upon the boundary between people's minds and emotions (internal environment) and society (external environment). It then awakens and sets human creativity and imagination in motion, by bringing the two environments together in harmony. It is art such as these which I call “Environmental Art".
The means of achieving this is what I call “Four Dimensional Art", which works on the 5 senses. In addition to the 3 dimensions of height, width and depth, the changes over time is the fourth dimension. In the world of transparent multilayered coloration, people will go beyond “seeing" the works, and they themselves “become" art. As sound, light, scent and visuals evolve over time, changing its expression, art and man become one, and as man is inspired, the mind erupts with the magma of the heart, creativity.
